Our department condemns racism in any and all of its forms.

Racism runs contrary to the values and principles of health equity, diversity, and inclusion, especially for members of the African American and Black community.

We acknowledge and own our actions that have contributed to systemic oppression of marginalized groups. This includes members of our staff, residents, students and colleagues.

We are committed to training the next generation of physicians who will go on to eliminate inequities in care, research and education, and supporting all of our staff and faculty of color in the Department of Medicine.

Our leadership and staff aim to improve the health of all.

Our anti-racist work continues and we will no longer be silent.
